Thanks and Turkey!

What a wonderful first Thanksgiving as a family we had. We have many things to be thankful for this year, but the biggest thing for both of us was, of course, Isabelle. She is such a blessing and brings smiles to our faces an endless amount of times a day. =) It is so much fun to see her grow and to reach new developmental milestones. She is smiling more than ever these days and has even shared her adorable little laugh with us... it's enough to make anyone's day!

We went up to Deer Park this year for Thanksgiving. Papa and Gigi opened their house for the three of us. We always love the time that we get to spend with them although it never seems long enough. As always they stuffed us with delicious food and spoiled us with their love. Thanksgiving morning Paul and Papa went out turkey hunting. Then we headed into Spokane to have dinner at my cousin's Holli & Jason's with the Thompson family. Then we headed back to DP for dessert with the other side of the family. Friday afternoon we pulled out all the leftovers and went at it again. Friday morning it started snowing and by the time we headed for home there was a good 2-3 inches. It was slow going on Hwy. 395 to Spokane, but by the time we made it to the freeway the plows had been out and it was warming up so the roads were just wet. So we made it home safe and only had to stop about 10 minutes before making it into Pullman (Izzy had a little breakdown and needed some comforting so mama rode in the backseat with her the rest of the way). Saturday evening my brother Ty decided to cook another turkey so he could have leftovers. So we enjoyed another full on Thanksgiving dinner... I feel like I've gained at least 5 lbs! But that's what the holidays are for, right?! =) It was such a great time! Now we're really in the spirit for Christmas! We can't wait!!!
