It has been fast and furious since Christmas! Not for any particular reason, but boy do we feel busy lately! I hope to post some new pictures this weekend as we are well overdue. But for now I thought I'd give a little update.
Isabelle has been practicing her counting and ABC's over the past few weeks. Around Christmas time she began counting to three and then saying, "Jump!” We have been working on counting ever since, and the other day she counted to TEN! Since then it has been, "One, two... one, two… ONE, TWO!" With a little help past 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 she can finish 8, 9, and 10. It's adorable to say the least. :) Her ABC's sound more like mumbling along with us singing with an occasional correct letter here and there. If we slowly go over each letter she will repeat us. Quite the little smarty and of course, still a book worm!
We have learned that Izzy has two new foods that she loves – eggs and oranges. For whatever reason she hadn't had much of either of these, but now can't get enough. She is still quite the little eater. She loves yogurt, chicken nuggets, green beans, bananas, and avocados. And she had her first sampling of chocolate milk the other day. Of course, she loved it!
Another one of our most favorite things is getting one of Isabelle’s new great big hugs. She wraps her arms around your neck and squeezes while squishing her cheek up against yours. It is quite precious! We can’t get enough of it and she loves giving them over and over. My favorite is when I go into pick her up from school and she comes running to me with her arms open and gives me one of these huge hugs… definitely makes my day!
Have a great weekend!
