Stop and Smell Kiss the Flowers!

Isabelle loves flowers. Every morning as we leave the house she has to stop by the flowers to say hi and give them kisses... yes, kisses! She says, "Hi, flowas! Mornin, flowas!" and then gives them sweet little kisses.
Last weekend at Trevor's grad party it was no exception. She was just infatuated with the irises in front of my parents' place. I absolutely love how you can see through these pictures just how soft and gentle she is with flowers. This comes after many, many picked flowers and explanations that, "Flowers are for smelling and looking at. We don't want to pick all the flowers or we won't have any to look at each morning." Now she treats them like little delicate babies and it's oh so cute!

Trevor's Graduation Party!

My younger brother, Trevor, graduated from WSU at the beginning of the month. To celebrate his accomplishments friends and family gathered at my parents' place last Saturday. I don't know a more deserving and harder worker than Trevor. He spent way too many all-nighters in the studio, worked two jobs while finishing his degree, and has the drive and passion like no one I know. Congratulations Trev! We all know you will do great things with your Landscape Architecture degree!
Great food and good times were shared with all. It's been quite some time since we've all been together as an extended family. Of course a few were missing as it is a busy time of year for everyone, but there was still a great turnout. So what does that mean for me? You guessed it... pictures!
My mom, Aunt Kristi, Grandma, and Aunt Vicky.
Such beautiful women inside and out!

This was the first time all the great grandkids on my mom's side had been together at once so a photo was a must!

Take one.
Take two.
Take three... I think that'll have to do it!And they're off!
Now onto a family photo.

Marching with Gigi! :)
Deep in conversation with Papa.
We tried so hard to keep the kids out of the dirt pile, but finally just had to give in.

And this face says it all... Nothing beats hours of playing in the dirt!
Cute sleepy kiddos up way past their bedtimes.
And here's a couple of Uncle Ty giving Dane motorcycle rides the
next morning just because he's that darn cute... Dane that is! ;)

Tim McGraw!

For those of you who know me, you know that I love, love, LOVE Tim McGraw! A few years back we had tickets to see him in concert, but had to sell them to attend a wedding. I have always said since then that if I ever get the chance to go to one of his concerts again I would pay top dollar. Well, he was back in Spokane on May 20th and I instantly purchased tickets to go (and the price was not bad at all). Paul stayed home with Izzy and it was a girls night out for me and a couple of girlfriends. We had a nice dinner at Twigs and then rushed over so we would not miss the opening act, Lady Antebellum (yep, just some icing on the cake!). We got back into Pullman at 1:00 a.m. and I was up bright and early to get ready for work at 5:30 Friday morning. I was exhausted to say the least, but it was worth it! I won't bore you with too many pictures, but for those who would like to see one handsome man, please keep on reading.

Amy, Sadie, and me enjoying the show.

Lady Antebellum!
Check out those heals!

And one more before he said goodbye...
And then I wipped the drool off my chin! ;)

Safe Place

Isabelle loves to hide. Especially on Mommy and Daddy's bed in the mornings. She says, "Hide! Fort!" over and over and will sit quietly under the blankets as long as we let her. Last week Paul asked me where she was and I told him she was playing in her bedroom. He said he didn't see her in there and after looking around for a bit he saw a little movement in her bed. She was laying perfectly still under her covers all by herself just as content as could be.

This past weekend she started sitting under the coffee table. Then she came up with the brilliant plan of bringing books under there with her. She will sit under the table for quite some time just reading away. It's her safe little place. Too cute!

Mother's Day 2010

What an amazing day we had! The day started off with Paul waking up with Isabelle so I could sleep in. While I was still sleeping they slipped out to grab me a drink from Starbucks (Paul even got the correct drink -- a Caramel Macchiato, Mmmm!). Then I was woke up by a little girl saying, "Happy Mudda's Day, Mommy!" That could have been the end of my day and I would have been completely content. :) She is just getting way too big!

Izzy made me the cutest little art project at school and a card. She and daddy also gave me a Starbucks gift card (yes, I love my, decaf for the time being, coffee!) Paul said when they walked into Starbucks Izzy exclaimed, "Morning friends! Izzy's here!" How cute is that?! She also kept referring to my coffee as, "Mommy's treat." Don't know where she's heard that before. ;)

After sipping on my coffee in bed and eating french toast and strawberries for breakfast I took a nice long shower. Since the weather was finally semi-decent we took advantage of it and took a walk to the nearby elementary school to play on the playground. As you'll see from the following pictures, Isabelle loves the park/playground!

How cute is she?!
*Note to self: Do not let the hubby take close up pictures while pregnant
(my face looks a little um, let's call it, puffy)!

Obviously not a very photogenic day for me,
but the sun was in our eyes so we have that as our excuse. :)
Swinging with Daddy!

Pausing to take in the scenery. :)

She loves her pockets these days and wearing Daddy's hat too - silly girl!

And time for a little basketball with Daddy.

After our walk and time at the playground we came home and relaxed. The day before Paul worked all day out in the yard planting some new plants and flowers in the pots out front, mowing the lawn, and laying more river pebbles (or whatever they are called). That evening we were going to go out to dinner, but decided we didn't want to fight the WSU graduation crowd. So we went to Tim and Erin's and the guys barbecued dinner for us. It was a wonderful day and I am so overly blessed to have such an amazing husband and daughter! I don't know what I'd do without these two in my life! Thank you for making Mother's Day such a special, yet simple day for me. I love you more than words can describe!

Pregnancy Update - 6 months!

It's time for a baby update!

Cooper and I are doing great! See...
Yep, he's living up to his namesake and growing like a WEED! As of late, I've been feeling really well. My lower back and hips have been bothering me a bit, but nothing too horrible. I'm at that perfect stage -- noticeably pregnant, but not huge; my energy level is back up; I'm still sleeping well (with an occasional potty break or two); and my feet are not swollen... yet anyways!

Cooper is a mover! I first felt him move a little before 16 weeks, but it wasn't just the little fluttery feeling you typically get. This was full on little kicks! I told my sister-in-law that I thought I was feeling him, but wasn't sure because they felt too strong for how early it was. Well, sure enough his kickin' and movin' has just gotten stronger. I started noticing last week that I can see my belly move now when he moves around. Soon enough my belly will be tight as can be and we'll see little elbows and feet slide across my tummy!

This pregnancy is flying by! I cannot believe we will be meeting our son in 16 weeks or less. My next appointment is scheduled for tomorrow. I'll be sure to update you all if there's anything worth updating on. For now I'm off to eat a banana and work away while little Coop keeps on growing and moving!

First Hair Cut!

Disclaimer: I fibbed! It took me nearly two weeks to come back to the bloggy world! I tell you, things have been busy, busy, busy lately! But now we're back and ready to update you all on our latest happenings. =)

Isabelle has had quite a few "firsts" lately. When we were up north a few weekends ago (remember our mini-vacation I mentioned earlier?), Izzy had her first real hair cut. I've trimmed it a bit here and there over the past year, but it was time to have our gorgeous and sweet cousin, Jessica work her magic at Stylz Salon. Above is a picture of the final product -- a little trimmed off the back, side bangs, and little layers. Not a huge change that is very noticeable, but enough to keep her hair out of her face while still keeping the length.

Izzy fell asleep on our way to Deer Park so she was a bit shy and unsure, but sat on my lap and sat perfectly still.

Pause for a quick kiss for mama.

Next it was my turn! I got a cut and color. I absolutely love it, but of course don't have any pictures yet. So now I need to show my new hair and growing belly! Keep an eye out in the next few upcoming posts.
