After waking up with contractions and writing my previous post, I decided to wake Paul, hop in the shower, and head for the hospital as the contractions were really starting to pick up. We arrived at the hospital at 7:00 a.m. After a couple hours of strong contractions, quick progress, six tries for an IV, an epidural, my water being broke at 11:00 and ten minutes later my urge to push... Cooper arrived at 11:29 a.m.! Again, I had another wonderful pregnancy and delivery. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We are just so blessed to have our two healthy sweet kiddos here in our arms. Below are some of the pictures from the day Cooper made our hearts multiply beyond our imaginations.
After only 4 1/2 hours at the hospital and 7 minutes of pushing.
Isabelle and Daddy getting ready to meet Coop.
Grandpa and Grandma lovin' on Cooper.

It's so nice knowing it will only take us minutes to get to the hospital and that my mom is only four blocks away at Julie's house so she'll be here as soon as we need her to be to stay with Isabelle. Aw, Isabelle... she is going to be so excited to finally meet her little brother, Cooper!
(Pausing for a contraction)
Okay, I'm back. We've been building up Cooper's arrival for months now and over the last couple of weeks explaining to Izzy that she will finally meet her little brother in the hospital or hopsital as she calls it. =) I keep trying to think of what everything is going to be like this time around -- how Isabelle will react, how this delivery will go, what Cooper will look like, and how life with two will be, but honestly, I can't even grasp it quite yet. I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it! I can't wait to see Paul hold his son for the first time, Isabelle to hold her brother for the first time, and for me to cuddle both my little loves in my arms for the first time!
The sky is starting to lighten up a bit so I suppose I better go hop in the shower! The next post will welcome our newest addition to our family!

Is it because the excitement just takes over?
Or because of the discomfort?
Maybe it's due to everyone under the sun saying, "You're still here!" each morning you come into work?
Or is it due to the fact that your so close you can almost taste it?
Or maybe it's due to the fact that your body starts showing you signs of labor and you think it's just around the corner!
Either way, let me tell you, it is HARD to stay patient! I know I still have a week and a half until my due date, but knowing that I am 3 cm dilated and 2/3 effaced (on top of having major pressure and cramping all day long) I feel like it could be any day! Actually, each night when going to bed I think to myself, "Tonight is the night!" Then I wake up the next morning a bit disappointed. I guess you just get yourself so excited and ready that it's difficult to stay patient. Aw, patience... we can all use a little extra patience right? I guess I'll just have to look at each additional night that I'm still pregnant as another full (or at least almost full) night of sleep. This little guy will be here before we know it. Be it two weeks, a week, or one day... he'll be here very soon! I can't wait to hold you little peanut!!! =)

Taken 8/12/10 at school. Showing off how old you are now. =)
- Favorite food(s) - Mandarin oranges, grapes, cheese quesadillas, chicken nuggets, rice and avocados.

- Favorite book - Daddy Kisses
- Favorite toy - "Pinky Pinky" her pony purse (first stuffed animal or doll she has named other than Baby)
- Favorite song - Twinkle Twinkle Traffic Light
- Friends at school - Sydney and Faith
- Completely potty trained during the day (even during naps!). We hope to have her night potty trained soon.
- Loves sleeping in her big girl bed
- Hides and cuddles with daddy each morning in our bed before getting dressed (not sure who loves it more, her or her daddy).
- Loves her babies; swaddles them; gives them bottles and pacifiers; and rocks and bounces them (definitely ready to be a big sis).
- Sways back and forth from being a mommy's girl to a daddy's girl, but ultimately loves being outside with daddy.
*Her 2 year check-up is this afternoon. I'll share her stats after that. And yes, I'm a horrible mommy for scheduling a doctor's appointment on her birthday! Hopefully the shots go okay!
UPDATE: Isabelle is in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. 34 1/4" tall and 27 lbs.! She's a growing girl. This time around she got to stand on the big scale and up against the wall to get measured. She also had her blood pressure taken for the first time and did amazing! She did not shed a single tear for her shot and was very excited for her stickers at the end! The doctor was quite impressed with her vocabulary, counting, and ABC's. :)
Our family, celebrating our girl!
Just love how she is looking at her daddy in this one!
